Weight Loss via Cycling?

I have recently started cycling again in hopes of losing weight, What i have been doing recently is riding at the start of the cycle path and riding to the end, Its a 14 mile journey there and and another 14 miles riding back inwhich i find is a 3 hour bike ride, I have been doing this 4 days a week for almost 2 weeks and was wondering if it was good and if i shall see results from it....i have also been watching what im eating and doing various excercises on the fitness ball, Does anyone have any tips or views on my question? Do you think i should ride more? and how long will it be until i see results? Please help...Thanks

cycling only make you lose weight mostly in legs plus it will hurt your legs and knees

That sounds like a good weight loss plan to start, but soon your body might get used to the workout and decide it's not difficult anymore. That's why it's good you are going various other exercises, too. Maybe eventually you can try speed differences on the ride, or look for another bike path just to vary up the workouts? You will get really healthy cardiovascular-wise, which never hurts, and probably gain more muscle in your legs which helps more to burn fat. I suggest taking photos or measurements every week or so. That way, you can track your progress visually!
