been there done that. My answer is- there is NOTHING you can do, if you're like me. I'm 16 and 5ft 10 and 9 stone. I went through a phase of eating everything, but it just didn't work, and it hurts having to eat too much. just eat healthily etc. you'll get used to being skinny. At least you're not planetary in size.

Don't eat bad crap just to gain weight. this will just harm you more in the future. instead try and tone up. put muscle on instead of fat.
Start lifting weights. best bet would be to get a nutritionist who can help you with this problem. just like with a person who needs to loss weight you need to do this healthy.

It's most likely that you have a high metabolism, which is perfectly normal! Unless people have been commenting about your 'skinniness' then there's no need to gain weight. Some people are just naturally slim. However, if being skinny affects your life and people tease you for it, then the best way to gain weight fast is to eat peanut butter or just regular butter, and bananas are also a good way to gain weight

Those who are extremely lean tend to have weaker immune systems,
making them prone to infections, surgical complications, and slower
recovery times for illness. They tend to have low muscle mass, and
less than ideal hair, teeth, and skin composition. They may have
disruptions in the ability to regulate hormones and protect bone
health, and women could become unable to menstruate.
There are many reasons why people may find it hard to gain weight.
Genetics can obviously play a role, but individual personalities and
the environment can be strong factors.
Some people are just more physically active, they tend to move around
more,
burning more calories than they take in. In children, the inability
to gain weight may signal a condition
known as "failure to thrive," which means a kid is not growing
appropriately for his/her age. This may be caused by an illness, or
eating patterns dictated by a parental idiosyncrasy.
Being able to eat anything with abandon is also deceiving -- even the
skinny need to worry about having too much sugar and fat for good
health. Poor diets can lead to ailments such as heart disease,
stroke, and
cancer.
If you want to put on weight, you should work out, to insure that you
put on muscle and not fat. Healthy weight gain, just like healthy
weight loss, takes time and
requires a conscious effort to apply good habits.
Recommended Ways to Gain Weight
Have meals with the right balance of proteins, carbohydrates, and the
right kinds of fat (such as unsaturated and monounsaturated fats,
olive oil, canola oil, pistachios, almonds and walnuts). Heinemann
suggests the following ratio: 60%-70% carbohydrates, 10%-15% protein,
and a small amount of fat.
Eat foods higher in calories, vitamins, and minerals, as opposed to
higher in fat or sugar.
Pack more nutritious calories in each serving. For example, you may
add grated cooked eggs to mashed potatoes, ground chicken to soups and
gravies, cheese in casseroles, eggs, and soups, and nonfat dried milk
in soups, shakes, milk, and mashed potatoes.
If you get too full too fast, try having more high-calorie foods or
slices of foods as opposed to consuming the whole thing (raisins
versus grapes, granola and Grape Nuts versus corn flakes, mango slices
versus the whole mango).
Limit drinking beverages to a half-hour before and after a meal.
Drink mixed juices (apple/berry, peach/orange/banana as opposed to
one juice beverages) for a higher calorie intake.
With moderation, you may add in good fat sources to meals such as
nuts, avocado, olives, and fatty fish (salmon and mackerel).
Snack in between meals. Nuts, dried fruits, and yogurt are good
options, but it's also important to find nutritious foods that you
will enjoy.
Have a nutritious snack before bedtime, such as a peanut butter
sandwich.

Above all, eat a healthy diet. If you resort to eating unhealthy fats and sugar, you could develop health problems later. Have your thyroid checked. It could be overactive, or underactive. I'm extremely thin, too. I weigh 47 kilos, and I'm 5 feet, 4 inches tall. I look very thin. I used to weigh only 40 kilos, then I found out that I had low thyroid, and when I started taking it, I gained 6 kilos in about 2 months. I also felt a lot better! I suggest you see a doctor, just to rule out any medical condition that could be causing you to be underweight. If it turns out that you are healthy, you may just have a fast metabolism. You are very young! Most people gain weight as they get older. I haven't, but it could happen to you. : -)

The reason you can't gain any weight is that you are young and your metabolism burns everything that you eat. Don't worry that's a good thing and when you turn over 20, you'll gain weight easier. The thing you can do now is to start do some sports and eat more, so you can grow more muscle mass. Don't eat fat or junk food, its not good for your health.

In your situation gaining weight is going to take commitment. If you want to be fat, sit on the couch all day and eat little debbies and hoho's. Its a 'myth' that eating fat will make you fat. Most people think that they are eating so much when they're actually eating like a bird. Go talk to anyone on the football team. See what they are eating. You'll be amazed! Ive seen people with a fat gut and cellulite ass and I can still see there collarbone. Im sure you do not want to look like that. If you want to get 'big' without getting obese than you have to eat good food. And you have to eat big! Add to that a proper excercise plan, and turn that good food into muscle, dont let it rot in your stomach. Theyre is a fantastic book call "Scrawny to Brawny" that I suggest you read.
