How do I know if I am really losing weight?

I know exactly how you're feeling.
The number you need to go by is the one in the morning.
When you wake up, you wanna go pee, then strip down and weigh yourself.
That is your true weight.
You really shouldn't weigh yourself everyday though, because like you said, it makes you discouraged and it could cause you to stop trying.
I want you to pick one day to weigh yourself a week.
Don't check your weigh anytime but that day, and on that day only check it in the morning.
Then once you do it for a couple of weeks, you'll see your results.
